Dörte Weidig is a highly qualified banker with solid senior management experience, having worked for IPC and the ProCredit group for the past 15 years. She has a proven track record in strategy design and implementation and has successfully managed target group-oriented banks in Haiti and in Serbia, one of the largest banks of the ProCredit group. In addition to her experience as a bank manager, Ms Weidig has in recent years been extensively engaged in the ProCredit academies, training centres for middle and senior management staff of the ProCredit group. At the ProCredit Academy in Fürth, Germany she serves as a Member of the Academic Advisory Council, acting as Director for the teaching area “Managing with People”. She was also instrumental in setting up the ProCredit Regional Academy for Eastern Europe in Veles, Macedonia and developing the curriculum. As managing director of IPC she is currently responsible for the development of the firm’s activities in education and skills development and for all lending projects in Africa and Latin America. Ms Weidig has an MBA from the Goethe University of Frankfurt as well as a teaching degree (1st German State Exam) in business management and Romance languages and literature.
