Louise Schneider-MorettoLouise Schneider-Moretto is the Senior Director of the Capital Markets Group at Women’s World Banking in New York. Louise leads WWB's efforts to promote its 30 network members' access to commercial sources of funding. She is responsible for managing WWB’s: debt and equity advisory work to network members, loan guarantee program, and capital markets and treasury risk management capacity building workshops and tools. She has trained over 100 microfinance institutions globally and developed strategic alliances with private sector institutions to leverage their experience for the microfinance sector. She has authored several articles on microfinance and delivered classes on microfinance and the capital markets at Wharton and for regional microfinance networks. Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, Louise worked for a Nicaraguan microfinance institution and additionally, as a consultant on microfinance and rural programs in Bolivia and Peru. Louise has nine years of banking experience at JP Morgan Chase and National Westminster Bank, where she last served as a Vice President in the Special Markets Group. She has a Masters in Latin American Studies and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. She speaks Spanish and has basic knowledge of French.
