Boulder Institute of Microfinance

William Tucker has presented the GOALS system to over 1,000 microfinance practitioners in 17 countries. Mr. Tucker has worked exclusively in micro-finance his entire professional career. He has lived 19 years in South America working for ACCION International, the World Council of Credit Unions, independent investors and others.

After several years as President of Community Finance International, he located to Cairo, Egypt where as Chief of Party of USAID’s micro-finance project, he helped institute micro-lending in a large commercial bank. At the end of his time in Egypt, 1,500 micro-loans were being disbursed daily, generating an annual lending volume of a quarter of a billion dollars.
