Description
MFIS are increasingly able to access commercial sources of funding to grow their portfolios. Access to these more sophisticated funding sources requires that MFIs adapt formal institutional structures, policies, procedures and reports to manage their financial risks and protect their core business. This workshop will provide the framework to build a healthy financial risk management structure within the MFI. Topics covered include creating a financial risk policy, the role of ALCO and other risk management structures, and asset liability management for liquidity, interest rate and foreign exchange risk. Krishna Majithia, Market Risk Manager from Citi India will be a guest lecturer in this course.
