Description

Strategic Issues in Enterprise Development for Finance Types: Everything you want to know but were afraid to ask.

This course will give participants an overview of current thinking and practice in enterprise development, including the implications of the recent Bottom-of-Pyramid and "Making Markets Work" thinking and practice. It will then help finance practitioners consider, in a systematic way, whether and how financial institutions should get involved in supporting enterprise development, through direct service delivery (including financing of "value chain" participants) or strategic alliances with other institutions.

Audience

The course will be most relevant to senior leadership (CEO, Board members, senior managers) of MFIs and other financial institutions that are responsible for charting strategy, including market segmentation, products, service delivery models, and business partnerships.
