Description

As an independent consultant, Tony Sheldon has worked with microfinance institutions in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, primarily in the areas of financial management and business planning.

He has worked with several funders and networks, including the Ford Foundation, Women’s World Banking, the World Bank, CGAP, and SEEP, where he is currently the facilitator SEEP’s Practitioner Learning Program on Maximizing Efficiency.

He has been on the faculty of the Boulder Microfinance Training Program since 1997, and also teaches at Southern New Hampshire University’s Microenterprise Development Institute.

He is the author of several publications, including the CGAP _Handbook on Business Planning and Financial Modeling for MFIs_ (with Chuck Waterfield), WWB’s _Principles and Practices of Financial Management_, and SEEP’s _Financial Ratio Analysis of MFIs_ (with the SEEP Financial Services Working Group).
