Sahar Tieby has over 25 years of global experience working in the sustainable development space, of which the last 20 years have been dedicated to the development and evolution of the microfinance industry. She has extensive experience in designing financial services and tools and streamlining the management of institutions’ operations. Sahar worked on a variety of microfinance initiatives and programs in the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Central and South East Asia with several organizations including UNICEF, World Bank, CGAP, IFC, AFI, Save the Children, CHF International, Chemonics Inc. In recent years, Sahar has worked primarily as a Microfinance Specialist at the Enterprise, Microfinance and Local Development Department of the ITCILO in Italy, as the Executive Director of Sanabel Regional Network in Egypt, and with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion. In 2019, Sahar as returned to Jordan and has been appointed by the Crown Prince Foundation as the CEO to establish a nonprofit company (Jordan Future for Sustainable Development) which will serve as a finance facility to financial service providers in Jordan, with a  vision to advance financial inclusion in Jordan, focusing on youth, women and an outreach across the kingdom, especially to remote and underserved rural areas.

Sahar serves on the Steering Committee of the SMART Campaign (since 2013) and has been part of the Boulder Faculty (since 2011).
