Glen Tugman

Digital Financial

Glen Tugman specializes in assisting senior financial institution executives to define, embrace and drive organization-wide transformation. He uses a mentoring style to encourage the development of executive level communication plans and strategic thought leadership. His second area of expertise is in the creating and managing of long-term, multi-national enterprise-level partnerships and alliances. In particular, Glen excels in identifying opportunities for banks to collaborate with financial technology companies to lower transaction costs, enter new segments, reduce time-to-market, and enhance customer experience.

Glen’s skills have been built during 30+ years of executive level experience with Scotiabank, a leading provider of financial services in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. This included leading the transformation of the management, culture, systems and operations of a established mid-size family-owned bank as it became a subsidiary of this publicly-traded multinational FI. Later in his career, as VP Partnerships and Alliances, Glen negotiated long-term agreements with telecoms, airlines, retailers, and financial technology companies in relation to Scotiabank’s mobile wallet, co-branded credit cards, regulatory reporting and online lending programs

Most recently, Glen was very well received at the July 2018 IFC Latin America DigiLabs program, where he co-presented on “Assessing Digital Solutions” and “Successful Partnering with Fintechs”.
