Gayatri Murthy


Gayatri Murthy is Financial Sector Analyst on the Customers and Provider Solutions team. She leads partnerships with financial service providers (FSPs) in South Asia and Africa on two key areas: advancing customer-centric approaches and using digital technologies to build new value propositions for low-income customers. Her work encompasses all aspects of product development, including, research, design and piloting. She also specializes in training and capacity building for FSP staff around research methods, product design, customer experience, segmentation and analytics.

Prior to joining CGAP, Gayatri worked at Intermedia where she conducted nationally representative surveys, impact evaluations and qualitative studies on financial inclusion and civil-society building; and at GiveIndia, a platform to promote efficient and effective giving to the poor in India. Gayatri received her master’s in International Communication from the School of International Service at American University in D.C and her B.A. in economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
