Erick Sile is a Senior Advisor in agricultural finance at GIZ (German Development Agency). He has been seconded to the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) where he brings his support to the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). Previously a regional technical advisor for the UNCDF (United Nations Capital Development Fund), he promoted inclusive finance and investments to financial institutions in Less Developed Countries. His experience in inclusive finance goes back to his days at WOCCU (World Council of Credit Unions) where he worked as Project Director in Kenya and Rwanda, and as Head of Programs in Africa. He was also a Senior Consultant for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Atlanta, United States.
Erick has in-depth field experience related to cooperative financial institutions in Africa. He has contributed to the implementation of Information Systems, the development of new strategies, the revision and replacement of accounting systems, the development of new savings and credit products, and the set up of credit and recovery policies.
Erick has an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the United States.
