Boulder Institute of Microfinance (BI) is pleased to announce that it will move its well-recognized MFT program in French language to Marseille. in partnership with the Agence Française de Developpement Group (AFD and its subsidiary company dedicated to the private sector Proparco) It will also begin offering a highly demanded new Digital Transformation of Microfinance Institutions (DIGITAL) program in French alongside the MFT program. Both programs are scheduled to be held on the premises of Kedge Business School in Marseille between July 8 and 19, 2019.

New digital concentration

The AFD Group and BI have a long history of collaborative efforts in advancing the field of Financial Inclusion. This collaboration has positively impacted the industry for 15 years now. The first step was the development of BI's flagship MFT program in French language that trained professionals and policy makers from countless MFIs, Cooperatives, Banks, Regulators, Investors, Policy Makers and Donors of the Francophone region. Today, a new stage was reached with supporting this program to move to Marseille. The extent of this cooperation, which BI is very appreciative of, will translate into greater achievements in creating inclusive financial systems, developing sustainable financial models and practices, and streamlining financial and operations management of institutions that participate in the training.

Both BI and AFD had long intended to move the French program to Marseille in order to make the program easily accessible to all potential participants from the Francophone region, which after fifteen years of training 1113 Financial Inclusion professionals, has become a reality. The French program was until then hosted by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
