Mareike Wolter joined IPC as an Education and Skills Development Expert in 2010. Since joining IPC she has been assigned to the ProCredit Academy GmbH in Fürth, Germany – a training facility for senior and middle management staff of the Eastern European, African and Latin American ProCredit banks. She supports the Director in the teaching area of “Managing People.” This function accompanies the development of the Academy’s students and teaches a variety of communication and management classes.
In addition to her work at the ProCredit Academy, she conducts short-term assignments of IPC projects worldwide and participates in the development of blended learning modules. Notably, she is responsible for IPC’s cooperation with a Haitian university in setting up a professional training centre. While earning her master's degree in International Culture and Business Studies from the University of Passau, Germany, she gained valuable practical experience working for various organisations as a trainer. Her main strengths lie in the development of training concepts, taking into account the important role played by cultural environments. She has gained both academic and practical experience in Germany, Eastern Europe, and Africa, and possesses a good command of several languages.
