Craig Churchill has over twenty years of social finance experience, in both developed and developing countries. In his current position as the head of the ILO’s Social Finance Programme, he focuses on the role of financial services to support job creation and facilitate risk management. He is the former Chair of the Microinsurance Network and is on the governing board of the Access to Insurance Initiative. In 2008 he launched what is now called the ILO’s Impact Insurance Facility to catalyse the insurance industry to promote social and economic development. Together with Cheryl Frankiewicz, he developed the ILO's renowned Making Microfinance Work training programme. Craig has authored and edited over 40 articles, papers, monographs and training manuals on various social finance topics.
